SPECIAL NOTICE: No trains until at least April 22nd owing to the derailment at Grange recently.
Our unique ‘Railway Library’, located in a working station on the scenic Lancaster to Barrow Line, is now available for use. It is primarily a reference library, free and open by appointment. However, we are developing a lending section which people can use ‘in person’, also free of charge. We have a growing number of books for sale. We are always open on the second Saturday of every month and our ‘Mutual Improvement Class’ (MIC) is on the second Wednesday at 14.00 with informal but interesting talks.
Kents Bank is a great place to visit, on the north shore of Morecambe Bay. It’s a pleasant walk, or quick train ride, from Grange-over-Sands. Next door to Station House is the excellent Beach Hut Gallery. The station gardens are a delight at any time of year, cared for by Friends of Kents Bank Station and Foreshore.
